Applying for citizenship

I received my conditional permanent green card in March 2, 2006. Then, I received my 10-year green card in July 2008. When will be I eligible to apply for the citizenship? Do we count from the day we receive the conditional green card, or the day we got 10-year green card, or the day we got married and stay in the U.S. ? Thanks for your input.

A green-card is a GREEN-CARD whether it has conditions or NO-Conditions.

You count from the date that you became a US Resident, that is the date you were approved for the conditional card, The date will be indicated on your green-card.

Note: You can file the N-400 starting 90 days prior to third aniversary of becoming a US resident if you have been continuously married to the same US Citizen, and have been resident in the USA for at least 18 months, with no periods out of the USA more than 6 months in a 1 year period.

It is 5 years if you are not married to a US citizen.

Look on your ANY green card since when you are a resident (it should be the same on conditional and 10-year old one) and 90 days before 3 year anniversary from the date you are a resident you may file for your citizenship (tis is what I just did)

NO only persons that can do that are ones entering the USA on an IMMIGRANT "GREEN-CARD" CR-1 or IR-1 visa, because the date of entry is the date of residency.

K-Visas are NOT Green-card visas, so the date of residency is the date the I-485 for AOS is approved, this can be months to YEARS after entering the USA.
