K3 or CR-1

I sent my I-130 Sept. 20...received NOA-1 on Sept 25. Question is on the cover letter I stated that I was applying for a K3 visa...I have since decided that I want to pursue the CR-1 route because it appears to be a faster route..what do I do now? Also, would this be advisable to do? Could I apply for both at the same time?

Just leave USCIS to continue processing the I-130, they will automatically send the I-130 on to NVC for a CR-1 if NO I-129F is filed.

Note CR-1 tends to take a bit longer, but the benifits of having a GREEN-CARD upon entry can be better than adjusting status from a K-Visa.

A cover letter is just a suggestion NOT a requirement, USCIS will process the petition.

YuAndDan is right...if you don't submit the I-129F it will automatically be a CR1. Look at our timeline below, our case took a little less than a year for a K3 visa. We don't regret going that way, since for us it was more important to be together. He now has his green card...and life is great.
