My wife went to her family doctor to get her immunization record and her doctor told her that he has no previous record of her immunization. Because my wife's family relocated from Manitoba to British Columbia when she was a child, all of her immunization record was left back in Manitoba.

Her family doctor said that he could provide her with all of the immunization again. My question is should she go to her family doctor to get all of the immunization or should she wait and go to the Doctor appointed by US immigration and get her immunization done with him? Is there a price difference?

Thanks!

Try to get the record, OR can be tested for immunity to what is being vaccinated against (Titer Tests) and/or get the required vaccinations for immigrations.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Have her contact the Manitoba Dept of Health to request a copy of her immunization records which are recorded under MIMS (Manitoba Immunization Monitoring System). Or, as YuAndDan says, she can request a titre test to check for antibodies to see which vaccinations are needed.

In my own case, I had no immunization records, either, as I had moved to Canada from the UK. I took a copy of the immunization requirements to my family doctor who noted which vaccinations I had received based on his knowledge of the British health system. He also updated some vaccinations and noted those also. I presented this at my medical and they were fine with it. It is cheaper for her to receive her immunizations from her family doctor because the Panel Physician will charge her for whatever shots they give her.
