If I did have a cyber stalker, I'd much rather meet them in person than the annoying e-mails and blog comments. Especially soemone like Korat. Russian criminals, not so much, but the same deal applies. Bring 'em on!

I'm not much on the computer stuff, but if someone wants to knock on my door or tap on the windows I have no problem introducing them to my 357 little friends. Can't really do that over the keyboard.

That's what would annoy me. Someone sending me stuff and just generally harrassing me. I can't really see Russian criminals sending junk mail. At least they'd have the decency to stop by in person.

It is usually the second, but definitely the third letter when they begin to say how much they are in love and can't wait to see you. Then the scams start.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams from the dating services too. Often, very real women can find that their profile and photos have been used to send to men in other countries. These women don't even know their profiles are being used and some have even dropped out or have since married and moved on. A scam doesn't have to be for hundreds of dollars or more. Sometimes all it takes is a $2-3 charge for translations per letter and you get a continuous inflow of cash. It really makes the international introduction services look bad.

Oh speaking of which, I finally did buy that Sig 45. I was going to hold off until after the new year, but home protection has become a little more important to me as of late.

Today's stock market woes coupled with the botched bail out may not have been too serious... but, doesn't it seem like it's starting to snowball with each passing year? There may not be one thing that causes it to happen, but several things over time and then BOOM! home protection is instantly an important issue for everyone. (The sad truth is, for most, it will be too late.)

I hope you're talking about it being more important as of late in general terms and not because of a specific individual. That said, your home should be pretty well protected now. If you (or anyone, for that matter) have a specific reason to need some home protection, you can PM me.
