I have decieded to make a new thread about the K-2 to not interfere with the other......I am confused of the process of the K-2 visa since there isn't much detailed information in the guides.....

i have read that they give the visa to only 1 person at the interview, to the beneficiary and not the child of the beneficiary. that afterwards it will take about 6 months to a year for them to to be able to travel. but now that it is an option, what should i do? in the packet of the I-129F should i also have a G-325A for the child as well? and passport picture? i have figured that it might be easier to have my fiance come first, then the child about 6 months after once we are more situated and adapted, but now im nervous.....also as of now im not working, but i want to start with the I-129F to already get going, i know with the I-134 i will need to put my financial information and as well a sponcer because i also didnt live in the US for the last 2 years and did not file taxes. i am assuming that i would need to also go to the interview because i can explain who my sponcer is and all the documents.....

sorry for so many questions, but i know here is the place to ask....thank you everyone

No, the K-2 gets issued when you submit the respective visa application forms. There are two restrictions... 1) The K-1 MUST have been approved and issued and 2) The K-2 MUST be issued within one year of the K-1.

On the I-129F there is only a mention of the children, as they automatically receive derivative benefit upon visa approval (assuming parentage is proven).

YMMV

which are the respective visa application forms? is it the I-130 after my fiance comes the the US and we are married? i know i must file a DS-230 for the child but i am still confused. maybe i need to slow down and take it one step at a time and that is to focus on getting everything ready for the I-129F packet....thanks again

Yes, you are way ahead of yourself.... get the I-129F filed and you have much time to learn the rest..

The I-130 is a petition for an immediate relative and this would re-starts the entire process.... If your fiancee does this (after she becomes a permanent resident) then the daughter will be many years away from being here. You as a USC could do it for your step-daughter and it would be summarily faster. But this is not what you wnat if you intend for the child to come within one year.

The forms are the DS series (DS-230, DS-156, etc... ) that get submitted to the consulate. You prepare a duplicate set for the child that you do for your fiancee.
