i just got a email about my wifes AOS, seems they sent us a RFE. any ideas what it could be? i still havent got the letter yet just the email stating there was a update to the case. when i look at the USCIS site it says case on hold. im wondering if it could be they want pictures or more evidence, or possibly we forgot to sign something. i havent got a notice that my case was transfered to my local office yet so i would think its just a minor RFE. also still never got NOA for the advanced parole, so maybe the RFE could be for that?

Lots of times it's something to do with the financial part. Doesn't do much good to guess tho.

I had the same thing happened last week, last Friday they sent me an e-mail on Friday "requesting initial evidence" with no details, also on the Web site they put the case on hold until they receive evidence, I had to wait for the mail man everyday until Wednesday to find out what they wanted.

For me they did not accept my marriage translation from the consulate, they wanted the original Marriage license and it's translation.

Good Luck.
