question#18 129f

Has your fiancé(e) met and seen you within the two-year period immediately receding the filing of this petition?

Describe the circumstances under which you met. If you have not personally met each other, explain how the relationship was established. If you met your fiancé(e) or spouse though an international marriage broker, please explain those circumstances in Question 19 below. Explain also in detail any reasons you may have for requesting that the requirement that you and your fiancé(e) must have met should not apply to you.

my question is am i going to write a full details like a story of before how we met and meeting in person.?i hope someone help me..thank u

They aren't interested in the romantic tale of how we met - the 'meeting' they are asking you to describe is the in-person one. Example, we met in person in Munich (Aug 2005) and traveled throughout the country for x-amount of time... (simplified example of our personal explanation).

Mine was a quarter page paragraph of how and when we met, when I visited him, a couple of things we did (backed up by evidence in the application) and how we communicate now. All very brief.

'Laura and I originally met on a free online dating site called xxxxxx in May 2007. After a month of emailing we met in person on the 26th June 2007 in xxxxx, UK. We became a couple and started seeing each other every weekend. We have been to various events together such as the 90th Anniversary of the US Air Force Ball and a Hanger Dance at xxxxx, UK. We were together for over 7 months until I was deployed to Bahrain with the US Air Force in February 2008 for a year. Laura came out to visit me in Bahrain from the 27th April 2008 to 17 May 2008. We both visited the US from 2nd to 16th August 2008. We stayed with my parents in xxxxx, PA and also stayed for a few days with friends in xxxxxx, PA. In this time we visited Niagara Falls, Canada. We have kept in touch using Skype, instant messenger and email.'
