Hmm, who do I agree with, x or k???

I'll get back to you on this!

What an interesting signature you have..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Well we must give the racists some credit. They tend to deny they are.

Yep that is me I am in denial. I am racist because I hate the attitude of poor inner-city black folk who refuse to move, get an education, acquire a skill, clean up the area they live in, take care of the area they live in, live by the law, respect others rather than shoot them, learn how to speak English correctly rather than the ghettoized version, dress appropriately to actually get a job, stop loitering etc etc.

Now that we have established that, can I opt to have all of my so-called racist tax dollars used in other areas rather than being wasted on inner city poor. Or just follow the Marxist maviwaro logic of you work and pay, they get to enjoy; because of "cause and effect" and all..

Sorry, was I talking to you? Nope.

But just as a suggestion- if you hate the attitude so much... then go do something about it.

Other than that, the rest of your post is as usual- nonsensical.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Yeah yeah what would I know right. Unlike yourself of course.

My parents, like many immigrants, traveled on a ship for over 30+ days to an unknown land which they knew little to nothing about, did not speak one word of English, left their families behind, had no email / telephone to communicate to those back home and with about $10 bucks in their pocket. At the time they arrived there was no welfare let alone universal health care there. Yet they worked hard, double shifts in many cases, in extremely unsafe conditions to further their family. All four of us now have successful careers. So if I don't understand what it means to have the odds stacked against you then who does, you?

Hate to give you the 411 but hardship and having the odds stacked against you is not a trademark of African Americans..

Edit: You didn't answer my question whether I should have the right to pick where the thousands of federal tax dollars I pay goes. I certainly do not want it, not even a dime, being used by any group who claims I am racist.

Various individuals calling me a racist because I don't agree with patting those there on the head is not the solution either.

Finger point does not solve problems. It is counterproductive.

Not that I care if you are or are not- but you get called a racist for saying racist things. There is plenty of writing here to back that up.

But yes... go do something about the problem.

I think the American definition / context of racism to that of those abroad is probably quite different. This obviously excludes people like six who tend to be on a crusade.

Speaking about the African American community here is like walking on eggshells and certainly a case of playing with fire. One misplaced word and a person will be branded a racist. When you think about it, this sort of attitude is counterproductive because it makes people not want to deal with anyone who is likely to use it against them.

Why would I go offer to help a community when someone is quite likely to turn around a pull the racism card on me as soon as I do something they do not like. As they have done with people like Bill Cosby. Heck Jesse Jackson even pulled that on Obama.

So, if we weren't in Iraq, everything would be peachy? The money we are spending there would be used to eliminate the national debt, instead of new and expanded government programs? We'd all just be given the money back?

Instead of having your kids pay for it down the line on top of their necessary expenditures, yes.

I'm not sure you got my point. If the government suddenly had back all the money they are now spending on Iraq, where would that money go? Would it be used to eliminate the national debt? Would it be put back into the pockets of the citizens? Would there be no economic crisis? Or would it simply be spent on new and expanded government programs?

so they're both the same then?

Duh

We are gonna end up with the same system regardless with these two parties. They are gonna both usurp each others ideas to attract each others base in order to survive. Everything is geared toward these two parties. The networks, Bureaucracy, etc. No matter what you hate about the one party is gonna be eventually adopted by the other. It was not that long ago when the Democratic party used to advocate lowering taxes in order to reap more monies. The Dems used to be very Conservative. The Reps usurped this when the Dems moved toward more Socialist policies.

Naturally. I never bought the idea that the Democrats were any better at running the country than the Republicans, though a clean sweep is often a good thing - even if you have to do the same a few years down the road when the next batch gets stinky.

I never bought into that ####### either. I would prefer a clean sweep myself. The Socialists lose both control in the congress and the so called Conservatives lose control of the White house.

The Socialists again chose someone unelectable. It seems they do not want the white house.

I find this "socialist" label curious. Have you been watching the news in the past few days? The White House is directing the bail out of corporations right and left and assuming their bad debt. Perhaps you ought to double-check the definition of socialism and decide who is and isn't one.

Swings and roundabouts isn't it...

The government is taking a socialist approach to the current market problems, but it doesn't make the government a socialist government.

ETA - I have to laugh whenever communism and socialism are brought up in discussions about public healthcare. I mean... is it possible to get any more alarmist?

What would make it socialist?

Well we must give the racists some credit. They tend to deny they are.

So, if you call someone a racist, the burden of proof is on them? You don't have to back up your claim and demonstrate what specific things they said or did are racist? If they deny they are racist, you can simply say, "SEE!! You denied being a racist! You just proved you are a racist! Q.E.D.!!!"?

If he means Aficonado, indeed that guy is a racist. It's glaringly obvious by his defense of the white race in threads that have nothing even to do with race.

It's comical.. and sad.. at the same time.

Yeah sorry. I got it was more of a though-provoking question after the fact.

Where should that hypothetical money go? This is assuming, the money was there to begin with. Which it wasn't really.

I guess it depends on the particulars of the case in question doesn't it?

I mean, racism usually implies there are certain actions/comments that back up such claims. Last I checked at least. ;)
