Hello all, I am a new member to the VisaJourney family. My wife, K-1 visa holder, and I are currently filling our AOS forms after our marriage, in Texas, this past weekend. We have certified copies of our marriage certificate but it only states her full name, with her maiden name. She wants to take my last name. Do we use her new last name on the AOS forms, although all previous forms have her maiden name. We applied for a s.s. card and they said it had to be in her maiden name until she got a green card, so I assume the green card would have her new last name. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You use on the application the name you want on the greencard... all previous names need to be indicated in the apprpriate section

If she decides to take your name now that she's married, all she has to do is fill out all forms with her new married name. The copy of the marriage certificate you're sending along with the application is proof enough of the change of last name.
