As of today, May 25, it has been two weeks since the US Postal Service delivered our I - 129F into the hands of TSC personnel. I have the Return Receipt to prove that it was delivered. However, we are still waiting for ackowledgement of any kind from TSC or CSC or even XYZ that they have our petition. The check has not cleared the bank, no email or snail mail notification. ZIPPO -- Nada -- Nichivo. Is the TSC just a Black Hole in disguise? Suggestions from all you experienced Visa Journey veterans will be greatly appreciated.

Patience is the name of the game , my friend ;) unfortunately no one can say how long before you receive the NOA1, it is a bit like saying how long is a piece of string.

It will happen, don't worry about that but you will have to be patient, good luck anyway

In your post you say the check has not lceared the bank but in your sig it says it cleared the bank yesterday...

If its cleared then TSC obviously ARE dealing with it

Or did you only fix your sig after you made the post??

(And yes TSC can often be like a black hole but things move a lot faster once it goes to NVC)

I know you don`t like hearing this, but you haven`t been waiting that long ;)

Make sure to check from which of the two centers you get the Recepit Notice,

if it`s California it will be a case number starting with WAC----

Your check cleared so it will most likely be snail mailed in a couple of days

Good luck (F)

Don't worry-

I sent my packet on 2/3/06 and did not receive NOA1 until 2/18/06. Please begin to relax and try to keep your mind occupied with other things...especially since your case is going through TSC/CSC and this seems to be one of the slowest service centers (although IMBRA has slowed things down at all service centers lately)

This entire process takes an emense amount of patience....If you are already worrying about time delays for NOA1...you will have stress/anxiety/gray hair/be on medication when NOA2 FINALLY arrives.

Your are realistically looking at about 6 months or longer for this entire process from start to finish......try to think of your future together and the love that you share....this may help pre-occupy your mind until you can finally be in each others arms!!!! (L):(

Hi Beachcomber

I just sent mine in about the same time you did and you can see in my sig the dates things happened. It's nice to have the registration number so you can go online and check to see if anything is happening....which is nothing in my case.

Can someone tell me if it says "touched" when that happens?

This is all that mine says so far...

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on May 22, 2006. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 90 and 120 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

I know it's real early in this process and I'll have to learn not to check the site so often. Oh well.

Best of luck to you BC!
