thanks panterchen...

my worry is that i will not be able to get to my own wedding in time :D... the thing is that people there usually wait for 5-6 weeks which means 1 month and a half,,,so let's say the half of month is december and then the entire january...hopefully my papers will get to bucharest in 4 days after that and then i would still have time like 2 weeks here in romania to have the interview and get the visa, since i planned on leaving on february 18th...

i dont know, it's simply sad what these people are doing: 2 RFEs and now an AP...hmm such is life...God is in control !!!

Well guys i hope u have a great time on these holidays

blessings,

Nate

In Christ alone my hope is found;

He is my light, my strength, my song;

Nate,

I know how you feel, we are going through the same.

We originally planned on me leaving Dec 26, that is tomorrow, and then wanted to have our wedding March 7.

If we don't have our approval by the end of January, we will have to reschedule our wedding which is the saddest ever since other people that filed at the same time have had their visa in hand since mid-december. And here we are, end of december still waiting for the first step.

Oh well, such is life. I am wishing you all the best and yeah we are all frustrated but keep in mind that we are doing this for someone who is for sure worth it all!

Hi, guys, anything new these days? My fiance called USCIS yesterday, our case is still in processing, but the uscis lady answering the phone told my fiance that she can connect him with the officer who's dealing with case if our case's still pending after two months they received our RFE. Ok, now the day's coming soon(It's Jan.3rd). Let's see.

Wish you guys a happy new year!

hey guys!

How was your Christmas? Mine was wonderful and I was lucky that my fiance was with me for the holidays. But taking him to the airport was harder then ever because our original plan was for me to fly with him.

But everything has just been taking way to long and now I'm one of the people who is worried that I won't make it in time for my own wedding

I'm slowly going nuts... I know I can be happy that we at least have gotten our NOA 2.

But why in the world is it taking so long now? We called NVC and they haven't received our file yet. Our case got updated again on 12-19-08. Whatever that means.

Is anybody else having any problems like that???

:help:

Hey guys,

anyone still here? Evian could you talk to the officer that handles your RFE? OANA where are you?

Nate, don't be depressed. My fiancé and I already start talking about rescheduling and what we will need to do etc... :(

It is sad but I think we just have to deal with what is given to us!

Our RFE is beyond the 2 months and we were told on the phone that it's considered a "problem" only after the 30 extra days (= next week) when I have no idea what we can do about it.

We wanted to contact a senator but we didn't, some people say it's useless.

we started thinking about what we need to do about changing the wedding date since we already rent it the park where we wanted to get married,

She will try to talk with the manager of that park to see if it's possible to delay it a lil bit when it's free again or should we just pay another fee for another day...anyway, about the wedding invitations we didnt send them yet but we told everyone about march 14... anyway ;)

still we both trust God that He will give us the visa at the right time...

blessings, Nate

Hey guys...

I'm still here as well!

Our case has not been forwarded to NVC even though our NOA 2 is dated 12-05-2008!!!!

I don't know what's going on there....

We have been calling NVC frequently but of course they can't tell us anything until they receive the file. We also just called USCIS and they are going to research the whole thing and let us know. Strange...

and of course it's going to take days until we get answers :help:

So I guess now we are in the same boat as many of you.... wondering if we'll make it in time for our wedding date :clock:

But I still put all my hope and trust in the Lord that it will happen. And I keep on praying for you guys as well!!!!

Hey guys, I have some exciting infomation share with you. As what you knew, on Jan.4th will be the 60days after they received our RFE documents. So my fiance called them on Jan.5th(Monday), and the lady who answered the phone told us to wait, coz now they're still dealing with the cases on April, then she hung up! It seemed this lady didn't want to help, so my fiance made another phonecall, you know what? Story's totally different. The USCIS guy answered the phone said now they could do something to help us, since it's beyond 60days. And then he gave my fiance a service request no.(which I think means USCIS sent CSC a demanding actions and reminders), told him that we should get the reply in 30days, at most 45 days. Indeed, I found my case was touched in Jan.6th, and Jan.7th, which meant they're working on our case now.

So guys, you may keep on calling uscis until you got a service request. By the way, we also made infopass appointment on Friday, if we don't get NOA2 by this Thursday, maybe my fiance will go there to get more information.

Good luck guys!

hey guys, I'm also here!

Evian, good that you shared that news with us, it's extremely useful.

Also, as our news: my fiancee called USCIS (1-800 number) and he was asked which service center, then after holding for like an hour was transfered to an officer in California. The guy asked for case no., checked it and said that the way he sees it is that we are in our final stage, nothing out of the ordinary in our file, so he thinks that we might get it in 2 weeks top!

So we hope! Anyway, the idea is, like EVIAN said, we have to keep calling, because eventually we can get somebody willing to help!

My fiance called USCIS at the end of December and we got a service request (I know nothing about a number but there should be one, I'll ask my fiance when we wakes up) but I was not so excited about it. I think the answer will just contain the status of our case and it will not a way to push CSC to act - it's my point of view, maybe I'm wrong... I was hoping that we would get approved in 45 days, while waiting for the service request answer.

Anyway no touch for us since this service request.

Good luck for all of you!

Oana, how were you able to talk to an officer from the service center directly? We tried it last night. We talked to the girl forever and she was nice and said she would love to help us but there is no way to connect us with the service center and that they don't do that...USCIS told us the same as you have heard now: you are assigned, no problems so far, you should hear something in 2-4 weeks. Well that was the first of december. Now it has been 5 weeks (and 7 after being assigned) and still nothing. I hope we didn't get assigned to someone who is sick or on a maternity leave.
