Hi, my name is Deanna. I am a United States citizen and my fiance is from the UK. We will soon be applying for the k-1 fiance visa and had a quick question about the financial support.

I am 18 years old and currently a student. As I am not working I will not be able to support my fiance. My dad is willing to be a sponsor. He is head of airline mechanic and has a well income. Will this effect our chances of getting the visa approved? If so, how? Any advice?

As long as he meets the qualifications, this will not likely to have any negative affect...

This should not present a problem as long as your father meets the eligibility requirements to sponsor him.
