well, our k-1 package is all ready, all we need now is to write the check.

but wait, who do we make it payable to?

also. the total is 455$ correct?

p.s. for our proof, it says to date the back of each picture and write the location aswell, however, I taped all the pictures on peices of paper and wrote the date and loc. on the paper. is this OK? or should I write it on the back aswell??

Just an FYI, this is on the Instructions sheet for 1-129F.

The filing fee for a Form I-129F is $455.00.

Use the following guidelines when you prepare your check or money order for the Form I-129F fee:

Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, unless:

A. If you live in Guam and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Treasurer, Guam.

B. If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Commissioner

C. If you live outside the United States, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, contact the nearest U.S. consulate or embassy for instructions on the method of payment

I read some post where ppl did the pix the way you did and they didn't run into a problem with their petition. But, I would write it on the back as well, to play it safe...

The instrutions state:

2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, unless:

HOWEVER i got a form from my local office showing all of the places to mail forms to includeing the 129f and on that form it says:

Make check orm oney order payable to Immigration and Naturalization service.

So i'm not very clear on this either.

Also while i'm at it can someone tell me how important a NOTARY PUBLIC is? I didn't use one...

If you missed this on the instructions it would probably be a good idea to go back and double check everything just to make sure you you have included everything that is required.

If you read the I-129F instructions, it will tell you who to make it payable to. Something like US department of homeland security. Yes it is $455
