I'm not a "Dem", and I agree with rclouse entirely. Moral haughtiness and hypocrisy from the Republican Party is far more flaming than homosexuality in San Francisco.

It seems that some here can't tell the difference between the far right nuts and the mainstream. So I guess to be fair then the far left nuts should be seen as the same as their mainstream. If you guys want to own this line of smear then please carry on.

The smears against Barack Obama and his family have been going on since the nomination campaign began - with that #### about his muslim-ness, his wife being "unamerican" and him not putting his hand over his heart during the national anthem and allegedly refusing to say the pledge of allegiance. That being a given - its hardly a surprise that similar smears are concocted from the Democrat side.

The least we can do is be consistent in denouncing this kind of #######. Though what tends to happen on here is that is becomes ammunition for the ever present usual "us and them" garbage.

Oh it's very real with one exception. It wasn't the reps making a big deal out of all that. It was the Clinton camp. Some of the far right may have picked it up but it was started and amplified by dems. So in reality this was a dem on dem thing.

I'm not sure about that. Republicans have mastered the art of dirty campaigning, and some could argue that in the last 20 years, more so than their Democrat counterparts.
