no steps forward, one month back...

April 14 - sent I-129F to Vermont

April 25 - NOA1

May, June, July lost to IMBRA and RFE's

Aug 22 - NOA2

Sept 25 - interview date OCTOBER 13th

Oct 26 - arrived at JFK - work authorized

Nov 21 - apply SSN, received Nov 29

Dec 16 - marriage license

2007

Jan 05 - wedding

Jan 30 - AOS begins

Feb 07 - NOA1 ,check cashed

Feb 28 - notice I-485 sent to CSC

Mar 10 - Biometrics

Apr 16 - surprise RFE arrives..they lost my medical. New medical returned, Apr 23

Packet received in VT Center 10:53 AM Signed by G.Merrihew 2/23/06

Packet returned, check made out for the wrong amount, I feel stupid :( 3/4/06

New check made out, given to Fedex today but will go out Monday morning 3/6/06

Packet received SECOND time signed by same person at 11:00 am, please God let this be it! 3/7/06

the last post was on May 8th, saying they were processing receipts dated on the 9th of April. Going on VJ members timelines, all action halted ( after IMBRA recalls) a week or so later. Seems they were up to receipts dated around the 18th / 19th of April, in terms of NOA2 action.

According to the newest post on IMBRA, some 1000 vermont petitions have been recalled, they will have to process these first, then back to next in line. (approx 18th april??)

I am sick at the thought of how long this could all take...

Well..

Vermont has no case pending dated before the IMBRA law.

That means they will need to send whatever they are requesting now from the petitioner soon, otherwise they can´t process any case.

If the new process date is for cases dated as March 6th, that means they are receiving the recalled applications and doing something with them.

I can´t think of anything else rather than asking the petitioner to provide teir Criminal Records, and instructions for it.

I think we got the answer we were looking for. As they stated on the letter, they have a record of the 1100 cases recalled. They must be reviewing the cases they have already there and sending the new form or whatever.

The Consulate in Rio old me that they had sent my petition back last week via Fedex, so I´m hoping that my fiancée (or our attorney, who hasn´t been helpful at all) will receive a notification at anytime this week.

I don´t see this taking that long. I mean, if they have decided what to do with the cases dated after March6th, they will be trying to get rid of them asap.

Does it make sense to any of you?

Let's hope it will be something they can do fast to send the recalled petitions back to NVC, so they go back to normal processing.
