I-864 Envelope

For those us who are paying I-864 AOS fee online. after AOS fee is paid, what evnvelope to use for sending I-864, because I am not waiting till AOS bill to arrive in mail? Does NVC recommend sending the documents certain way? Also, does NVC require anything to be put on the I-864 envelope (case no. etc.)?

Nothing special about the envelope, I used USPS Express Mail envelope outer and generic manila envelope inner.

Just make sure you put address EXACTLY how it is on the AOS barcode cover page, with ATTN: CMR-AOS

Ours worked fine, operator confirmed entered day after they received it.

As far as waiting for bill in the mail, I never got one, neither I got any other mail from them, but 2 (TWO !) identical IV bills generated 2 days apart.

One of the operators told me I will not be getting any mail communication from them at all, only e-mail, because I paid online. Another told me the opposite... Today operator told me she does not know how the AVR system works and if or when or how it updates... So I would not rely on mail in any case, just on the logical process flow and their online payment site.

I just binder clipped all the papers together with barcoded sheet on top. Put them directly into a priority mail mailer at the post office and mailed it off! Works like a charm!! Keep it simple!
