Interview - documentation to prove bonafide marriage

Hi Everyone!

I got my interview letter last Saturday and we are already scheduled for next month. Even though I was happy that our case is moving so fast I also got a little bit worried because that would be the day that USCIS would make decision on our case. What worries me the most is that in the letter we are asked to bring a lease agreement or mortgage papers. Unfortunately I got my place that we are staying at before we got engaged so only my name is on the mortgage. Do you think that might be a problem? We have all other documents with both of our names on it.

Well, we didn't have an interview, but we sent proof of our marriage (marriage cert.), joint health insurance cards (copies), pics of our wedding (only a few), my husband's name on our car insurance policy, mail sent to him at our address where we lived at the time, joint bank account showing both our names, etc. Mortgage is a good proof but if you don't have it, you don't have it. Same as with the lease. Best wishes on your interview.

Business mail with both names, like utility bills or bank statements will do just fine. Some pictures in various locations and with family are nice to have with you as well.
