You don't need a Jamaican accent - an exaggerated Romanian/Gypsy lilt will do the job. Basically a bad Gsa Gsa Gabor - "Well daaaaahling"

Plus it will probably help if to start and end each post with either "cross my palm with silver", "there's a bad omen in the tea-leaves", "I feel it in my water" or some other vague reference to consulting chicken entrails, runestones or the sale of magic beans at a bargain price

Shooting Stars was hilarious. The George Daws guy is in Little Britain, I think (also a great show).

I also liked Have I got News for you - did you see the episode that came out shortly after Angus Deayton got himself into hot water with the prostitutes and cocaine? The man had no shame...

The kid was arrested for being illegally in the country...what part of that is not understood?

The fact that he killed himself is not the fault of the police, the jail or even this country...but the fact that had he been legal, he wouldnt have been arrested and hed still be alive.

it is sad that any life is lost, but the whole reason he is dead is bc he was illegal and got caught and didnt want to deal with the concequenses of jail time and or deportation.

we all have dreams, remember why we are on this forum? our dream is to be with our SO....but we did it legally.

I dont care who the heck you are, if you come illegally, and get arrested, thats your fault ONLY, and if you kill yourself for it, well then that was all on you!

The man might have committed suicide following his arrest and deportation - but it probably wouldn't be inaccurate to suggest that the drive that motivated him to get into the US at great cost and risk was sufficient enough that he was prepared to die rather than be returned to own country. I doubt that he killed himself simply because he didn't want to face "jail time and or deportation" but rather because the alternative (of a life in poverty in Guatemala) was too terrible to contemplate.

I don't think the police are to blame specifically - but clearly some explanation is merited of the circumstances of the man's injuries (and its not like the police haven't shown some tendency towards brutality in the past).

Just a guess - but I suspect that a beating probably won't improve a depressed person's state of mind.

Gosh! Someone sounds as though they didn't have a regular movement today!

Yeah, Shooting Stars was funny, but I was thinking of that Pop quiz Mark Lamarr hosted, the one where they got all those old rockers and asked guests to identify the real "Old farty drummer from X 70's band" and they had to sing and all kinds of sillly ####.
