How long is the Extraits de Casier Judiciaire valid? I have several months before I receive the NOA2 but would like to prepare all the required documents. Is the police certificate valid for a short amount of time? How long will it take my fiance to receive one? Any help is definitely appreciated. Thanks!

The police certificate is generally good for 6 months. Your best bet is to wait until you have the NOA2 before filing for the Police Certificate. Generally takes about 1-3 weeks to receive the form. My husband received his form in Germany just 2 weeks after filing. A more recent certificate is usually better. Just contact the Police department (or wherever you would obtain it from) and ask about the normal processing times. Like I said though, it generally takes between 1-3 weeks. Don't sweat it. Just apply for it when you receive your NOA2.

hey

this extrait de casier judiciaire is the easiest thing to get in France. You need to fill in this form online : https://www.cjn.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/b3/eje20c

u will receive the extrait within a week (I got mine in 2 days once). don't know how long it is valid for but since it's so easy to get there is no need to try getting it way in advance. oh and it's free :) vive le service public !! (et les impots qui vont avec :P).

Hello,

I have just asked for my "extrait de casier judiciaire" and there are 3 different ones. Is number 3 fine? I believe it because you can't have the others that easy.

I know I might not need it now but I just wanted to test the system and see if it is still fast (I asked for one last year and it was only about a week).

NOA1: 8/8/2008

NOA2: 12/30/2008

Interview: 01/04/2009 Passed

POE: 08/2009

Removal of Conditions: filed July 2011

Biometrics: September 2011
