15yo Daughter wants to study here (US)

I am not sure which visa is needed here. I am just about to file for conditions to be lifted on my Conditional Perm Res Card (nov 08).

My daughter has an idea that she wants to do the last two years of school in the USA after her GCSE in the UK. I think she intends going back to University in the UK. This would start from next Aug 2009.

I am pretty sure that the F-1 approach would result in heavy educational fees and am looking at an alternative,

Thanks

U can look into J-1 visas. There are many programs out there that offer a cultural exchange, where kids from all over the world get to go to American high schools. I did a US government sponsored program back in 2001, but some of my friends went through "commercial" and other sponsorship routes. I know Rotary Inter. had such program several years ago

You might want to think again, my Step Son finished High School in the UK for the reason that the US schools are so poor.

But your Spouse should be able to sponsor an Immigrant Visa, Public High School would be free.
