is it hard to get a job in the US?

hi!!!, to all my kababayans whose here in the USA, is it hard to get a job here? ilang buwan kayo bago makakuha ng trabaho? is it possible to look and found for a job after one month of staying here in the US? how long do you apply and got a job?

I wouldn't say its hard but you know everywhere you go theres competition and requirements to get a job you want...

but the good thing is that theres so many ways you can try to look for a job here..especially on the internet..theres a lot of searchable jobs where you can try to look for the type of job you would like and just apply to it as many as you can and just wait for someone's call for the interview..

and there is so many options of what type of job to choose from, you can work part-time, full-time, morning shift, afternoon shift, night shift, temporary, permanent, so many to choose from. So I say its easy to find one.

My filipina wife got her scientist job 2 weeks after she applied and she got her green card 3 months after she arrived. She started applying for jobs a month after she got the GC.

It depends on your credentials too.

I had a drug test this morning for the job that I applied the other day, it took only one day when day called me after I answered their application form and on Monday I will have physical exam. I hope they will hire me because I really love cooking and doing something in kitchen. But I think it is not hard to find job here or it depends where you live.

im not sure yet because i havent apply for EAD but yeah like other said it depends on the place we are and i think i may have that problem because i am not living in downtown because i am an uptown girl

US is a land of oppurtunity..plus they have the dignity of labor. they don't care what kind of job you have as long as you know how to do it and willing to learn. goodluck on job hunting..
