Hi Everyone!

Hope all is well!

So I finally am getting to the paperwork for my RFE for the Joint Sponsor, here are my questions:

1) My JS used to be my Husbands roomate and his taxes for '07 have our address on it? He no longer lives here and his Drivers License has his current address. I know that there is a seperate form for "Household Sponsors", but if he no longer lives here then he still must fill the I864 right?

2) My JS is married and they claim thier taxes together, do she have to do anything? She is not sponsoring me.

3) My JS's wife is a Permanent Resident, will this cause any concern or is there anything I should be aware of sponsor wise?

I hope this is clear, thank you all for your help. I just cannot get another RFE, this already is the second one and my poor nerves will be shot to hell if i get another one.

Cheers :star:

Ok!

So just to clarify, on a joint tax return that my joint sponser is sending in with a permanant resident as a spouse on his taxes i do not need to send in anything other than his tax information (ie: W2, 1099,1040 and schedules)?

Based on the JS relationship to you and the petitioner, he would file the I-864 regardless. His wife need not participate but he'll need to provide supporting evidence for his own income. The easiest way I can think of to do that is to provide tax returns with W2's instead of transcripts, and throw in some recent pay stubs for good measure.

The JS's wife would only fill out the I-864a if she's joining in the sponsorship.
