Anyone still in the 2/24 VSC black hole?

A couple of weeks back there was a thread for those of us who haven't had any activity at VSC since 2/24 when our files were put online. I think some of those lucky people filed before 12/31/07 and so should now be at CSC but since I filed 10 days into January I am at slow-azz VSC, still 2 weeks into August with no touches, no signs that my case even still exists... I am wondering if there are any others still in the same boat or if really I am the only one... Like the filer who got some info from VSC said I genuinely think my file got stuffed in a box when they were rushing to get everyone online and the box is stuck under 10 others which have come in since then... :crying:

I am in the black hole in the same box. I am a K-1 beneficiary.

Yes, I am very mad about all this. I read about approval and approvals and I don't get a simple touch. :crying:

Pattu, have you contacted your congressman? IMO, you have a chance of being moved to California because your case was received before the January 17, 2008 date that California claims to be up to in processing. And VSC promised to use our received date, not our NOA date to determine processing. (Per what was said on the Ombudman's page.) So I'd request that your congressman get involved and ask that your petition be moved to California as well. It is worth a shot.

I went to Senator Schumer's website and it actually has a USCIS inquiry form to fill out - will send it out tomorrow along with a copy of the NOA1. At this point it can't hurt...

Praying, praying that you're right and I get sent to CSC...

I am in the black hole in the same box. I am a K-1 beneficiary.

It's so frustrating....

I'd try a congressman before a senator. Hillary didn't even respond to my inquiry. My congressman's people have been on the ball, following the petition from Vermont to California.

I've been feeling this way too, especially today for some reason. I was really hoping for at least a touch by now...

I submitted Govi's Nepali size(small) PP photo because some people said they filed using non-2X2 photos with no problems and I just wanted to get the file mailed, also I have some name 'issues' since I legally changed my name 5 years ago but did not change it on my passport - my marriage cert shows my birth name rather than my new legal name since my passport was the only ID I brought to Nepal. I have been dreading an RFE for either issue but now am so desperate that even an RFE might be welcome, at least it would mean my file isn't lost!!!!

(((((((((((Sasha))))))))))))

I, for one, understand EXACTLY how you feel, if that's any comfort. We just have to hang in there somehow - I am going to contact my congressman and see if that helps.
