TB skin test?

Well I went and had my I-693A form filled out this morning. It went like a breeze, didn't need any shots, all up to date, which was nice . Only cost us 25 bucks too. I am curious though, last minute he was just asking if I had such and such before we walked out (we were paying up front) and i nodded but now that I think about it I don't remeber or recall having a "TB skin test" .... My medical back home (canada) I don't remeber if I had one or not ( I did so much running around that day and I was poked and jabbed and what not all day that I don't recall much of anything really). Is this tb test required? did I have it already if i had my medical already? no one has ever mentioned it to me and I assume that everything my medical consisted of my doc i had to go to back home would have taken care of it. Should I be worried? I have not recieved and RFE on it or anything so I'm just curious. Thanks alot all

That should have been included in the medical because hubby had one done at that time.

IF you had a TB test then you would have to go back three days later to have it read. I work in the healthcare field so I have first hand knowledge.

Unless they did a x-ray of the chest but usually it is a tb skin test.

Yes - I had a TB skin test too, even if I had it done years ago.

I had skin test and then three days later I had it read - and it was negative so I didn't have to do any x-rays.

oooh so thas what the chest x-rays were all about, ok now i get it. I had the x-rays done. Good to know .... so will i have to take my x-rays with me to my aos? or am i ok on that ...

I hear a lot of people throw their's out once entering the US, so I hope you dont need it for AOS.... lol

ya me too, i'm not sure where mine are, they are packed away somewhere in storage

also, i know someone posted this a few days ago but i can't seem to find it. What if the doc left the passport # off the vaccination form, is that alright??

Nothing to worry about, if anything they would ask for a chest Xray. Lot of folks from the carribean and Africa carry a strain of tb due to the TB Vaccination they received as a child that can create a false positive at time so a chest X ray will clear that concern.
