Hi all,

In an earlier posting I asked about problems with domestic travel while the AOS was grinding away, which you all said would be fine.

But it turns out that we'll be moving to Texas in about a month. I've ready that Texas has some different AOS rules, and now I'm wondering if I should delay filing at all until we're there, or if I should file here (Mass.) and just change the address later.

Do you guys have any opinions? We were married in early June.

Thanks!

Z

We'll be moving to Richardson - just north of Dallas.

If we haven't filed yet for AOS yet, should we do so before the move? Would filing beforehand give the USCIS a chance to screw something up? Is there any disadvantage to not filing before the move?

Thanks for the replies!

Z,

If it were me, I'd hold off filing until I was certain of my new address.

Not that filing beforehand would be a disadvantage - it's just one more thing that could foul things up - You could file, then submit a change of address (which takes "2-4 weeks" to record)..
