Please send your congressmen an email stating your concern (not that it will do any good unless you are a multimillionaire and make huge contributions their election campaigns).

yep! just have that done before passing the paperworks, because civil surgeon said its required by USCIS now. :whistle:

It is awful that it is required now! I've heard of some terrible awful side affects with that vaccine.

hmmm none that I felt after I got the hpv shot...i need to read more on this...knowing that i will need to receive it again on september is disturbing:unsure:

My wife is very concerned with the safety of this vaccine...is there any way to refuse this particular vaccine? She's been hearing a lot about the adverse effects of it.

I guess the only way to refuse this vaccine is to provide proofs that your wife have allergies with this type of vaccine.

I had my vaccine shots done last month and the Civil Surgeon didn't require me to have HPV vaccine although I asked for it. I told the nurse that the Immigration might require me to have one but she said I'll be okay with the 3 shots I had. Well, I'm glad I didn't get one cuz that 3 vaccine shots are so expensive.

When I went for my K-1 medical in March, I told the doctor I didn't want any vaccines since I have not received any since I was 3 months old. It was my mother's choice back then and I told her now that I am legal age, it is my choice not to have any. She asked me if I was sure and I said yes. So she signed on my immunization sheet saying that it was my choice not to have any. I then asked the doctor if I would be able to get a visa without them and the doctor told me that it was probably not going to be a problem seeing as I have not had any since I was 3 months old. The doctor said it was up to the Consulate though. So I went for my interview and asked them if it was a problem and they said no. I asked them if it would be a problem getting my greencard and they said they didn't think it would be. So when I applied for AOS, I just gave a copy of the immunization form that the doctor gave me in March saying it was my choice not to take any vaccines. So far, I haven't had any problems with USCIS and I have my EAD approved. No RFE's either.

From my research, I doubt I will ever take the HPV. It seems dangerous and the statistics aren't very good about it either.
