I checked our status in USCIS online today, I saw "Case Received and Pending".

Does "PENDING" means pending for review?

Just wanna be sure..

Thanks..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

no, just means its sitting there. mine said pending, then got touched, then approved 3 hours after the only touch. (well at least 3 hours from when i noticed it touched).

After my touch on June 27 I noticed mine said 'received and pending'. Wish I'd paid attention prior to that to notice if it had said since it was first entered in the system. I think I would have received an email if the status had changed though. Even if it did change when it was touched its still been sitting dormant for another month now anyway.

I believe that "received and pending" is the normal, 1st status. Nothing has happened other than that the petition was put into the system.

It means your file was already entered into the system. You can check its status online now.

Within 3 months from the date it is received, most likely it sits on the shelf to collect dust.

Other word, it is most likely that no one is physically reviewing your case yet.

You should get approval within 3-9 months from the date you sent.

Thanks to all who replied. :) I have read a lot of things about the very slow process of VSC. They deserve this :bonk: (maybe it could wake them up :P ) because it seems that they are just sleeping over the cases for such a long period of time.

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......
