Just got the NOA2, so better start gathering up the documents and get them together to send to my fiance....

What should I be sure to include:

2 Passport styled pictures

Copies of the I-129F package

Copy (or original???) of the hard-copy NOA2

Certified birth certificate (USC's)?

Affidavit of Support forms (does it need to be notarized)? - and supporting documents/letters

and of course, evidences... (do you send copies or originals?)

I worry that it would get lost in the post or something ... yikes.

Also, someone mentioned sending passport too. I was like "what???" does anything know anything about that?

Your input is appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations on your NOA2!!!

Just got the NOA2, so better start gathering up the documents and get them together to send to my fiance....

What should I be sure to include:

2 Passport styled pictures Only passport photos of the beneficiary are required

Copies of the I-129F package You can send him copies so that he knows what you submitted. I don't *think* he will be asked any questions about what was in the I-129F, but it is good for him to have an idea

Copy (or original???) of the hard-copy NOA2 A copy of the NOA2, keep the original with you.

Certified birth certificate (USC's)? I sent a copy but I'm not sure if it was asked for. Don't send the original.

Affidavit of Support forms (does it need to be notarized)? - and supporting documents/letters I-134 needs to be notarized. Your letter of employment needs to have an original signature. Everything else can be copies.

and of course, evidences... (do you send copies or originals?) For things like boarding passes, itineraries, receipts, I sent copies.

I worry that it would get lost in the post or something ... yikes. Make 2 copies of everything so that if something does get lost, you can send him the second set right away.

Also, someone mentioned sending passport too. I was like "what???" does anything know anything about that? I sent a copy of my passport pages. DO NOT SEND THE ORIGINAL.

Your input is appreciated. Thanks!

:)

Hi Zee... waving.gif

Certified birth certificate (USC's)? I sent a copy but I'm not sure if it was asked for. Don't send the original.

Just thought id mention that a 'certified' birth certificate is not the same as an 'original' (like the one your parents got at birth). A certified birth certificate is one with a rasied seal that you get from the clerks office in the county you were born in. This is the document that is requested when they ask for the 'original'. ;)
