Can't wait to see this. I think Guillermo del Toro is the most talented director around today. He will be directing The Hobbit next.

I love Hellboy. He likes kitties.

I agree. The first of his films I had seen was The Devil's Backbone. It was so good I think I've watched it at least 4 times. Looking forward to his version of the Hobbit. :)

Add me to the list, Marilyn - I've been enthralled by the promos and want to see this movie. It isn't really Joe's cup of tea so I will probably go on my own some afternoon while he is at work. I'm glad to know it has been released. Besides - I've always liked Ron Perlman ever since Beauty and the Beast (yeah, I know - it was sappy! heheheh)

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

whoo hoo.. another girlie who likes the movie..:lol:

I watched it last week. I don't remember even hearing about it, and I'm the one who update our excel dvd list and put them in alphabetical order in the shelves, I've never notice he had it or it never got my attention.

I saw the #2 coming out and I was like cool, that sounds fun. And Charles was like what? u've never seen the #1? And then we watched it and it's really cool.

I read somewhere that he was finishing up Pan's Labyrinth whilst filming Hellboy 2, so there are a lot of visual cross overs there. Having watched the trailer I can honestly say I agree. :D

But, the more the merrier, I say. Pan's Labyrinth is one of the most marvellous films I've ever seen. el Orfanato (which he produced and contributed to) is one of the best ghost stories I've ever seen as well. Rent it if you haven't seen it yet.

You do indeed! (not that I have a spy at Netflix who tells me what's on your list. Rather, I remember you telling me! :D)

I watched it last night. Visually, it was one most entertaining movies I've seen. Del Toro's style is so cool...I could easily watch it again for the visuals. :)

so it was just good visually?? how was the story line etc...?

The story line was good, but it was the characters and the visuals that made it entertaining for me. :)
