I wish I had something like that figured out 4 years ago when I took that flight. That one was overbooked by US Airways. Despite there being plenty of volunteers to be bumped, it took them forever to get anything going. It must have been insanely overbooked. It was a mediocre flight at best. Probably the best one on US Airways.

I found a way to rip DVDs to my MP3 player - so I can watch pretty much anything.
I've done cruder versions of similar for years:
  • originally, I would carry a walkman (and some of my tapes, and spare batteries--important) and play these for as long as I wanted (another "bird" under this "stone" is the rather irritating, after about twice around, programmes they oft have on airlines)
  • My discman can play MP-3 audio (but not video)--so all I have to do is carry ONE disc
  • Haven't got a small DVD player yet, but that may be consideration

never flown US Airways. I'm thinking from the posts I won't try either :P
The fact that it has two nicknames:
  • the one I actually used in this thread, I got from my UFL prof cousin--who will take Delta only to avoid US air
  • others have used "US Scare"

Eh, I didn't know that Useless Air had any flights long enough to even warrant any film longer than a youtube video.

They do and they are awful. I forgot another thing that happened to me last time I flew with them. They had no one working the gate. 10 minutes before departure, the pilots stormed out the aircraft and demanded to know why no one was on the plane. Uh, because no one was there to board us. So airport security and the pilots called for nearly 20 minutes before anyone showed up to board us.

Blame it on the Spainish speaking people.

Whoa, whats that all about.
