sorry but another question... My mail while I was in England went to my ex husbands.. I had done a change of address to my daughters home but I guess they didnt listen and forwared it to my old addy anyways.. He just phoned me and said that I have a letter there from the United states Justice in Virginia. Does anyone know what this could be? is it part of this process or does it have anything to do with immigration? I know when I returned customs gave me a very hard time for being gone so long and having my 16 year old daughter with me, could it be to do with that?? anyone got any ideas. I wouldnt let him open it as its none of his buisness but now its got me wondering and as you know I worry about everything LOL.. I wont get it from him for a couple of days so thought it was worth a shot to ask someone here.

Thanks

Chelle

Thanks everyone!!! I am SO excited!

I'm kind of freaking out. I'm going to visit Sebastian in less than two weeks. What stuff does he need immediately and what stuff can I just wait to give him once I'm there? I have a huge packet already put together with my I-134, my cosponsor's I-134, the NOA1, a copy of my birth certificate, a copy of all pages in my passport, proof of an ongoing relationship and a letter of intent. He has his vaccination records and his police reports. They'll mail him packet 3, which has all the other forms, right? Regardless, I have the DS56, DS157 and the DS230 printed out for him. Plus he has that online form. Is there anything I need to send him immediately?

I know we can call the NVC and get his case number so he can set up his medical appointment. How long did it take for those of you in the UK (pretty much all of this is aimed at you, Shannon & Nick, because you were so well prepared!) to get your medical once you had the NVC case number? And when, throughout the process, do you get your interview date?

Aaaaand, as for proof of an ongoing relationship, people in the August thread were saying that they have 200+ pages of evidence. That seems like it's really excessive. We have my flight itinerary, his flight itinerary, pictures of us from our last visit this summer, our Skype histories, emails, postage, my wedding dress receipt, his wedding ring receipt, and a screenshot of our visajourney membership. It comes to around 50 pages. I figure that's way more than necessary, but the August filers have me freaked out.

AS DOES THIS WHOLE PROCESS! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

CONGRATS GUYS!!

As soon as you get the new case number from NVC LND2008****** call the medical company and get the appointment booked, when I called last week they were booking appointments upto 12/19 and I'm sure she said the next ones were the first week in January but may have got confused as was frantically checking my work schedule to see if I could wangle the Friday appointment :innocent:

I would start calling NVC on Wednesday see if they got the petition, dont forget to speak to a human as the K1's dont show up on the automated system.

Again allow 5-6 working days for it to leave NVC and arrive in London, once its on their system get the packet three stuff sent in with the checklist etc.

In relation to the evidence stuff, from reading the London thread most of it wont even get looked at! BUT we have loads of stuff from our multiple visits back and forth, most of which were after the file was submitted, then there's skype logs, emails, cards, phone bills (OMG are there some phone bills!)

I think 200+ pages is a bit excessive as previoulsy mentioned but for some high fraud consulates it may be necessary. At the end of the day as long as you can prove the ongoing relationship then you wont have a problem.

Keep us updated! :star:

In the packet three all your doing IMO is confirming you have all the documents listed and have the medical booked. The medical results are valid for 12 months so I can see no harm in getting the medical booked straight away with the new case number.

Yeah Juliette, For France it's right before the interview - the day before. Kind of interesting that you don't have to schedule it well in advance. hmmm...

Very pretty. I'm thinking how your pictures will turn out, and your red should look quite stunning. :) Have you considered using the same color for both the maid of honor and bridesmaids and differentiating them with an accent (a sash, a different bouquet color or ribbon, same color but different style dress, etc)? It might hold up better in the photos (rather than 3 colors). Sorry, I just had to... that's the designer in me talking. :P The dresses themselves are very nice.

OH MY GOD WE'RE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIX MINUTES AGO!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
