I really need some help here. Have so many ideas for our civil ceremony and yet can't settle on anything. We will be having a formal wedding down the line, so upon my arrival we'll just do a civil ceremony. For me, it is a real thing, so I would love to make it special without breaking the bank. We are based in Florida, so any ideas/experiences/suggestions are welcome. Also, fiance is considering eloping, so can anyone recommened anything romantic? Edited by Ana&D

If you're in Florida, how about a sunset beach wedding on the Gulf coast? I guess it depends on where you are in Florida:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Then sail away for a couple of days on a yacht. Okay starting to project what I would like.

Because of the farm we have to stay close to home, or else we would elope properly. So it will be quiet, us plus 2 friends at the town hall, lunch and then if I can possibly convinvce John a night away.

Ha! Was just looking at the yacht packages :) They have smth in the Tampa Bay area, where they put you on a yacht, marry you on the island and you can spend you first night sailing in the marina... Sounds fantastic! The only problem is that my family already planned to treat him to a sailing experience when he comes down next month. My uncle ownes a yacht in the South coast of Ukraine, so mom suggested it as a treat for our engagement.

Tell John you deserve a night away :). After all the wait and stress and finally getting there, he should treat his wife! I bet you can find something really nice not too far from home!

Look around and see if you can find a nice bed and breakfast somewhere in your area --it will bring a nicely personal touch to your 'night away':-).
