NOA2 Receipt Number

Hi guys! I'm hoping that one of you who has received your NOA2 can answer a question for me. :help:

I've received the email that stated our petition was approved. However I am not in the US and the NOA2 is going to my friend's address. Unfortunately, she is on vacation right now & therefore cannot tell me if the NOA2 is there, let alone give me any information off of it. I have read Aussiewench's tips on how to get your case number from the NVC, but it states you need your receipt number. Will that receipt number be new, or will it be the same number from the NOA1?

Basically, did anybody get a different receipt number on their NOA2 than they had on their NOA1? :P

Same one from the NOA1.....so you are right to go

You will have to speak to an operator though for the I-129F as you wont find it using the automated system like can for I-130. Once you call the automated number you press 5 to speak to an operator.
