Esalaamu Aleikoum,

As I had promised a few members here (Rajaa and Wahrania) just going to post little someting regarding this organization I am working with here in Algeria. Enchallah all of you will be patient enough to bare with me and enchallah if you are willing to help out ... then plz do! If you are not not, then it's ok ... thank you for reading my post all the same!

Mission (About us):

Welcome to Wahatoun. Wahatoun is a non-profit, non-governmental (NGO) organization founded with the aim of facilitating meaningful and sustainable development in Algeria. Wahatoun is headquartered in Algeria. Our focus is on impacting and changing lives.

A group of concerned ex-patriate Algerians and “foreigners” living in Algeria have come together to form this organizations. And it all started with a “Sisterhood, let’s see what we can do” !!!

Our mission:

To promote free transformational education and health empowerment to the needy and impoverished of Algeria. To increase awareness for the cause and its extent, and provide possible solutions for all forms of welfare of the people of Algeria.To support lasting partnerships for international and national efforts to promote and protect “Better living” in Algeria. To improve the quality of current efforts to detect, treat and improve the quality of services rendered to these needy peoples.Establish a volunteer commitment amoung Algerian citizen living in and aboard, including medical and education professionals.

Our Current goals:

The mission of is to care for orphans, street children, widows and other vulnerable members of society through education, skills training, shelter, health, spiritual guidance and reintegration.

Provide free clinics for the needy: elderly, pregnant women and children where educational advice for preventation and treatment of common issues.

Eid gifts baskets for impoverished children in Algeria, including clothing, learning tools and toys.

Hand out stations for such medical items like eyeglasses, wheelchairs, canes, braces, and unexpired mediations.

Future goals:

Totally fee free clinic for the impoverished complete with doctors and other medical staff on-site.

Transportation for impoverished persons to the medical faculties required for their illnesses.

Sponsor a child fund, to where through financial donations and other charitable donations you can sponsor the future of a child.

How you can help: We are currently looking for ...

Currently we are looking for any medically trained professions in Algeria or aboard to aide in our “free clinic” project.

Peoples to help work on our website.

Collections of learning tools such as books, medical articles, clothing and toys.

Shippers and handlers of donated goods.

Persons willing to volunteer their time in the Skills building project with an Algiers based Orphanages, Pouponniere Amel in Staoueli (Palm Beach). Persons with any specialized skills including language, trade or medical are welcome!

And items donated by hospitals, universities, hotels or other institutes to hand out in our “Eid gift basket” and “Care packages”

I only just now saw this topic. My husband designs websites and allllllllllllllll sorts of promoting stuff. Maybe you could contact him? He is looking for some big projects to get his business off the ground. Let me know what you need (if ur not comfortable talking to him) and I'll be more than happy to ask him.
