To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of the ignorant.

By asking the question... implications are made and reaction should be expected.

Yes... I have read the entire thread. ;)

I, for one, hope none of you crazy people stop posting or post any less than you do.

You keep light where there is so much darkness for many of us. ;)

Are they implications or inferences? If a reg started this thread, it'd be laughed at and everyone would know it was tongue in cheek. Could the same be true for the OP? Maybe. Maybe not. I guess ignorance is a two way street.

I also don't think anyone should change his/her posting habits though.

We should all post once a day. Then we can think really hard about what we're going to say and everyone will be sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for the next post to appear.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

I suspect that KB didn't intend to be hurtful. Some of the posts lambasting him were more mean-spirited than the original post. The really negative posts in this thread that could be considered personal have been directed toward the OP.

KB was just asking a Question. I sure don't think he or she deserved that bashing that they got! What's happening to people on this board...? I thought this site was started to help people, not tear em down... Some people on here are very Juvenile in their responses to other people.... Know matter what, I will continue to help people on here if I can or continue to give them a word of encouragement when the journey looks a little dark for them... That's what we are here for!!!!!!! Just my 2 cents!

I don't think KB meant to be hurtful either. However, the  <---- made it appear as an implication to me and not just an observation/inference. Maybe some, including me, are reading too much into it but these are things we must consider and take responsibility for when starting a thread like this. Perhaps if he had responded and explained himself better, others would not have felt so forced to be defensive.

I think feelings were hurt...whether intentional or unintentional...and those reactions were a nature human response to protect those effected.

Whatever the case, it has already been stated that there are no hard feelings and we can now all move on to Hugh and his chocolate starfish!

I think the overreaction that transpired was way OTT for the simple usage of a  And that's really no justification for the responses, either. When you start letting others control who you are, well that's just kinda sad. Like 'oh I'm normally nice, but because this person may have just intended to offend me, I'm going to be an azz about it and feel ok for it too cos it's not my fault.'

If you were kinda new to a forum, and everyone jumped on your azz like this, would you come back?

I would wonder what I got myself into!!!!!!!

Ok, I'm the O/P, and sorry but I haven't been on this thread since Friday. I'm on the computer 8-10 hours a day at work, so I try to stay away on weekends as much as possible.

First, some of you need to relax. Just read the words on the screen. Don't infer things that aren't there. There were no hidden implications or secret messages.

I simply asked if the people who had 100+ posts/day worked or were home in front of the computer posting all day. I say "all day" because you don't make 100 posts in one hour or so, like one member suggested. Maybe those people have jobs that allow them to do that, and that's cool. I can't ever see myself being able to do that at work.

The "lambasting" I received wasn't too bad. I've been hurt worse by real people in real life, not words on a anonymous internet forum. :crying: I think I'll be ok.

Btw, I didn't go looking for the daily post counts. It was a slow Friday at work, so I was browsing different parts of the board, ones I had never seen before and I came across that link and I saw the post counts. (There's that emoticon again. It means "wow, that's a lot of posting in 1 day". It doesn't say anything about yo mama, that you're a loser, nor that you don't have a life.)

Seriously, some of you need to lighten up, or you may get that aneurysm. (this one means "laughing out loud" because the last part was a joke.)

Not that I need to justify anything that I say here, but I think I have made one or two contributions to this board as well. If you need personal verification, go over some of my older posts.

Ryan Seacrest out!
