HELLO FRIENDS..

:help: .....I HAVE A QUESTION..? MY FIANCE HD HIS INTERVIEW IN FEBURARY OF THIS YEAR..HE GOT ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING IN WASHINGTON..WAITED 4 MONTHS , WAS CALLED TO THE EMBASSY TO GET HIS VISA, HE LEFT HIS PASSPORT WITH THEM AND WAS TOLD DONT COME TILL WE CALL YOU..THEY GAVE HIM A RECEIPT. i EMAILED THE CONSULATE AND THEY RESPONDED WITH YOUR FIANCE NEEDS EXTA ADMINISTRATIVE PROSSING IN THE USA..WHY WOULD THEY CALL HIM, TAKE HIS PASSPORT, GIVE HIM A RECEIPT AND THEN GET MORE PROCESSING...i AM CONFUSED, HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS EXPERIENCE AND HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO GET HIS VISA..THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ANSWER....

No one can tell you how long AP is going to be. You will have to wait until they are ready to issue the visa.

That's such a hard thing to deal with, but I don't think it's abnormal for ME/NA beneficiaries to have to deal with quite a bit of administrative processing. It won't help you feel better knowing that others are also going through it, but the MENA forum has ladies from Morocco and other Middle Eastern and North African nations who face the same long wait because of background checks that are extra strict for those nations. You might find some solace in knowing that you aren't alone.

Arrive JFK POE: 7-2-2008

Marriage: 7-9-2008

AOS

mailed AOS, EAD, AP: 8-22-2008

NOA AOS, EAD, AP: 8-27-2008

Biometrics: 9-18-2008

AOS Transferred to CSC: 9-25-2008

Requested EAD Expedite: 11-12-2008

EAD Card production ordered: 11-12-2008 changed to 11/17/2008 Why? (I hope it doesn't change every week!)

Received AP: 11/17/2008

Received EAD: 11/22/08 (Praise God!!)

AOS RFE: 1/29/2009

AOS Approved: 3/24/2009

Called USCIS 4/1/2009 told no status change and case not yet reviewed from RFE request.

Received green card: 4/3/2009
