$400 AOS fee Rejected???

IV Fee Payment Status REJECTED Fee Amount $400.00

The money was in the account.... but when i checked the payment it said rejected

I was wondering if anyone might know what reasons there might be for why they rejected it.....

I would rather not waste time by repeatedly making the same mistake if i can avoid it.

When pay online, did u get a Receipt Number?

yes we got a receipt number but the status was "PAID" but now it says "REJECTED"

the money was never pending at my bank... and it is still in my bank...

so the receipt number i have is for a rejected payment

Starting April 2008, the NVC has an option to pay the I-864 Fee Bill Online using a secure website. All online payments are processed by the Department of Treasury through the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center.

You will need the NVC Case Number and Invoice Identification Number(IIN) from the I-864 fee bill letter. Your IIN can be obtained by contacting the NVC by telephone and speaking to a live operator. The same IIN can be used again to pay Immigration Visa (IV) Fee bill in Step 3.

You will also need your U.S. based bank's routing number and your checking (or savings) account number. If you are paying from your checking account, this information is available on the bottom of one of your checks. It takes about 2-3 business days to clear this payment. Transaction for your Affidavit of Support Fee payments will appear as 'NVC AOS FEE' in your bank statement. You can not use your credit card as a method of payment.

we just paid online today both for AOS & IV Bill, then the status says: IN PROCESS. Did u provide a route number from your bank which NVC will used to get your payment thru online transactions?

How did you manage to pay both at the same time? I paid the AOS and it's showing 'paid' but still does not allow me to pay the IV bill yet.

Try calling your financial institution to ask them if the ACH was ever presented to them and they might tell you why it was rejected, if so.

Then call NVC.. ask them about this.. u wanna be sure they will not automatically try to resubmit, if their policy is not to resubmit... then simply try to make the payment online again. But first u want to be sure that they will not resubmit, otherwise u might find yourself with 800 dollars missing, 400 from original ACH, and 400 from the second time . Good luck to you, let us know what happened!

That may be system error. Wait for the last one to be PAID, then you'll be all set
