So I got a RFE this week, I have send the 2004, 2005 and 2006 tax returns, the other application did not got a RFE, sure I did a mistake not sending the paper sheet with the w2, or they lost it!

I guess it is a basic formal letter I got, with a checked box, then below someone wrote in black pen:

----" The service needs 2006 W2s for petiotioner ...(name of petitioner)....We have your income tax returns."

But I went to my tax guy today, he is not working. I shall see him on monday..My problem is I see the W2 sheet with info for the w2 and 1099, really simple piece of 8X11 paper sheet. Is this what I send back? Should I send that with 2006 tax return again? Or is there other W2 form, because what I have is really simple, not much wrote there.

Yes the W-2 is generally printed three to a sheet (8 by 11), so; yes its very simple - it should have your gross income, federal taxes withheld, social security withheld info. And yes send a 1099 if you have one - again they look very similar to the W-2 and have similar info (many banks issue these for interest earned on accounts but they can be for interest, or working as an independent contractor or retirement income etc. etc). Most business print them out on a plain sheet of paper with no logos or anything like that. Good Luck

They are looking for your 2007 taxes now even if you petitioned last year. If you don't have a 2007 return filed yet they want a copy of the extention you needed to file with the IRS. (4868)
