I would like to see if anyone went through this situation to give me an opinion. I was a student last year and my total income was $17,500, but the gross income was $13,000. But since the beginning of this year, I have been working a full-time job and making $62,000 (for the past 5 months only). I got a letter from my employer to show that this is my annual income and the position is permenant. I got a letter from the bank to show that I have really very good a mount of money deposited and the current balance is excellent. Do I need a co-sponsor?

To save you some time and the hassle, here is what i just learned today form calling NVC: our case is similar to you, Maya is working and has a good income, but has not been before this year.

The visa specialist at NVC informed that they will probably need the 2007 tax return. There are cases when they accept the situation. But in general it is safer in this case to have someone co-sponsor you. That's what we will do too.

Best of luck! :)
