Affidavits From Friends...

I was wondering If I receive an affidavit from friend, Should I open it? or Just leave it in sealed envelop then mail it along with the package

Here is the list I am going to send

Conditional Permanent Resident Card (MY NAME)

Passport (OF COURSE MY NAME)

Federal Income Tax Returns (2006 and 2007) (BOTH NAME)

the I-797, Notice of Action: Welcome Notice (MY NAME)

USCIS mailer (MY NAME)

Marriage Certificate (BOTH NAME)

Driver Licenses (TWO)

State Driving Record (MY NAME)

car insurance (TWO MY NAME) & (ONE BOTH NAME)

Check Cards (TWO)

checking account statements (BOTH NAME)

cashier’s check (BOTH NAME)

Entergy bills (BOTH NAME)

pictures (BOTH & SOME OTHERS)

holiday cards (SOME BOTH & SOME ONLY ME)

There is no doubt you should open and review them. Affidavits aren't confidential documents whose contents are to remain unknown to you. They are evidence supporting YOUR petition. and you should know precisely what evidence is supporting your petition and how weighty it is.

I sent my affidavits open along with all of the other documents. If you followed the guidelines provided on VJ you likely wrote or provided your friend with a copy of the example. Besides, don't you want to know what your friend thinks or would you prefer a surprise later at a possible interview.
