Hi everyone,

I haven't been around in a while, thought I was through with USCIS for the moment... I just got back to the US after traveling on my GC for the first time. The night before we came back, I noticed a mistake on my GC, and the IO at our POE also noticed it, but thankfully let me in anyway as long as I have it corrected straight away. The two dates, for Card Expires and Resident Since... are both a year too far in advance, so it says I'm a resident from 2009 and the card will be valid till 2011... :huh:

Stupid USCIS administrative error, so I'm now just about to mail the card back with a completed I-90. As long as it's their error there's no fee, but it's frustrating, and I feel a little weird sending back the card I had longed for for such a long time! Hopefully it won't take too long before they send me the replacement.

</moan and groan>

Hi Eveyone! Just wanted to share my interview experience this morning.

I had my interview at Newark, New Jersey. The appointment was at 11:00 AM, but we reached there an hour earlier. So we went to cafeteria and went to the 13th floor half an hour later. We were called at about 11:45 AM. The IO was really nice. He was even humming a song while collecting/checking all the paperwork (my passport, I-94, Driver's license, Marriage certificate). Then he asked a few questions on my name, my parents' name, my husband's work, how did we meet? (he laughed when we tell our story)..so it was more like a casual interview. He asked for the proof of joint name/account. So we showed our bank statement, tax and lease agreement. After that we showed some photos back when we were dating, halloween pictures (again he laughed and commented on the pictures) and some other photos - shower, thanksgiving, christmas, with our family, college time..etc etc. (I remember while waiting for our turn, I looked everywhere and saw couples with scrapbook and albums - we didn't even bring an album! - just like 25 photos). The IO took some of the photos and my EAD and said that he is approving us and I will received my GC in 2 weeks. That's about it. We shook his hand and left. But while waiting for the elevator, my husband was worried about my EAD (I went for my 4th interview last week), and he was saying that what if I get the job and need to show the EAD, and somehow the IO came to elevetor with his lunch right at that moment...( :D right on time!). So we asked him, and he was so nice saying that he will take my EAD at his office and give it back to me.

So overall, it was a nice, pleasant interview. I want to thank everyone for their support and this forum has helped me alot on filing the paperwork and preparing my application. I was out of status before and was thinking of hiring an attorney, but with this forum I managed to do everything; not even with rfe.

Thanks VJ! and thanks to you guys too! Good luck and best wishes to all who are still waiting.

Hi Jon&Lindsey!

What is the date of your exam?

It's the 9th, an 8 hour exam :wacko: I've been studying really hard but am scared - it's superimportant as if I pass, I can finally get a vet licence and therefore job, but if I don't, it's $600 to retake and a 6 month wait :angry: I do think I should be ok though, I've been studying for aaaaaaaaaaaages :)

I luv my chappara, congrats on the interview letter, glad things are moving for you guys :)

visao, hope you can find a job soon! Wishing you lots of luck...

I know right...it's nasty out there. I got my EAD two months ago and only got a few calls for interview. However I went for my 4th-round of interview last week. (Yeah - 4th round! isn't it crazy?) i guess for one single position, thousands of people applying for it. Oh well..good luck to us
