I am not sure what to put here because the three previous years were filed with my ex (soon to be). Therefore, the adjusted gross income on my last three tax returns includes his income too. What should I put?

Good question...

I would include numbers which match the W-2s/1099s in your name, that will be sent as supporting docs.

Or maybe someone else has a better answer.

That would be my answer. Tax transcripts might not show the income separated but the W2/1099's will. Supply the whole return including all back-up but declare the gross income, not the adjusted gross.

Your can't request them from his ex-employer or current? Your tax man didn't have a copy of them?

You only need W2's from your own employer. It's your income you're verifying. You could try the transcripts. Mine are only for me, so I can't see how they do it for a joint return. Maybe they do separate the income.
