Welcome to Orlando! You are just in time for the start of hurricane season and the horrible heat! Oh well at least no more rainy England--Poor Scott got rained out of his car races he wanted to attend tomorrow. I love it here and you will eventually adjust to the heat--just do any outdoor errand before 11 and after 6pm and wear lots of sunscreen.

Congrats

Micki

Good lord the above is so right. I lived in Tampa area up until a few years ago and the humidity is insane. Here in TX the heat is just as bad (if not worse) but not as much humidity. YOu will need your AC on often and the hurricanes are always so much fun. Especially when everyone goes crazy at the last minute stocking up on stuff.

I know what you mean Saffyre... For us... since he is barely living off of what he was making and it was only a temp position it was easiest to do it now since both my kids will be gone for the summer and it will allow us to save a good amount of money while waiting for the EAD. As for the heat. i love the sun too...... but the humdity can be horrid in the peak of summer. Just be ready for that and keep lots of liquids around you. My mom is still in Florida so I'm hoping to go visit again soon LOL

I can't even begin to describe how jealous I am that you and Kris will be together so soon.

And i'll be sure and keep a good supply of bottled water....

Congrats to you! Two weeks tomorrow and Nicky will be here. I was able to scrounge up most everything needed to make him a good Irish breakfast. I got the Irish bacon, sausage, soda bread, heinz beans...and now I have to find black and white pudding. I plan on the morning after his arrival to have a nice big breakfast ready for him when he wakes up :-)
