I disagree, its not about just hiding, what about personal space?

My husband's and my world rely over internet, there is everything, from banking details to family matters to every day fights.

....I agree! Banking details, credit cards, e-mails to/from family members, work related e-mails..

USCIS/these consulates are stepping over that privacy line.

We used different email add for our communications just in case they're going to ask those stuff. If they're going to ask for our online banking password that would be stepping over that privacy line.

If they're going to ask mine I don't mind giving it to them if there's any emails from our banks and credit cards but the account numbers it won't be in the emails though and also I got nothing to hide.

Everyone wants a personal space but don't forget that immigration just want to make sure that your relationship is legit.

Why do they need your password??? Just print out the emails you send to each other if they want to ensure that your relationship is legit. Next thing they'll what to know what you wear to bed at night.
