Am I missing something? Just want to make sure we have the current version of the form that we send. I downloaded from the guide, but always feel it's best to get from the uscis.gov website. I look down the list of immigration forms, and did a search and couldn't find it. Does anyone know if it is in some other area of the site?

Thanks!

OK i tried it, and the second hit was www.uscis.gov/forms. As I understand it, this is the official place to go, but I find I-485 to be strangely missing?? Did you find it there?

uscis.gov says something about many websites offering forms but you run the risk of having problems or using outdated forms by using other than uscis.gov

I couldn't find it going to the forms overview either - it wasn't listed. So I typed I-485 in the on site search engine and came up with this:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485.pdf

and here are the instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

That's the one, thanks! I had also searched the site, but only found that one that expired in 2005 before.

WOW! Couldn't find it on the USCIS forms site either. Maybe they are redoing it! I recently saw somewhere where someone did get a I-485 send back because it was the wrong form.
