Greetings! My husband has his interview scheduled on June 24th and he has to leave his country at the beginning of June for tours and recording for a couple of months. I heard from someone at the U.S. Eembassy here in Senegal that people do cancel interviews and I could approach the consular officer and ask for an earlier interview. Via phone, they told my husband that they NEVER do it. He will have his last doctor's appointment on Friday and I was just wondering if anyone had ever had any luck getting an earlier interview at any consulate. I was hoping that someone would be kind and that he could come to the U.S. directly from Europe and not have to come back here and wait again for another appointment.

Thank you for any suggestions that you may have.

Just trying to muster the energy (and the money) to do this again.

You can try. My understanding is that they schedule appointments on the first available date.

I would say try calling the consulate and seeing what they can do for you.
