http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html for HCM category as directed by the NVC. Am suppose to wait for consulate in HCM for instruction? I am really worry. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!

Try here http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...ng_for_med_exam

The beneficiary should call one of the panel physician and ask for instructions. Click on the drop down list and find your local Consulate and get panel physician's contact information.

I've called and ask the physician what would be the required medical lab/ exams and imunizations so that I could have them done and ready for my interview.

Congratulatons and good luck on your upcoming interview!

For a K1/K3 visa, the HCMC Consulate uses IOM or the ChoRay Hospital for the medical exams and the Quarantine Service Of HCMC for the vaccinations. I think they use the same places for IR-1/CR-1. Also you should be getting an Instruction letter that details what you should do. Tyrobe also has an interview coming up so he might know for sure.

I was hoping to get some kind of letter from HCM consulate. Only 2 weeks left until interview. Crossing fingers :(

You should call the HCMC Consulate. It's not the first time that HCMC Consulate has not mailed things out or the mail system in Vietnam is doing what it seems to do a lot, be really slow and able to "lose" mail. The medical exam only takes one day to get examed and one day or so for results. However if IR-1/CR-1 are like K visas, Cho Ray Hospital won't let you make an appointment without the letter.

Here's a link to the HCMC Consulate and info about IV/IR visas

Our interview is on June 5th and my wife still hasn't received anything yet from HCMC. As Peter said, Cho Ray Hospital or IOM will do the medical exam for you spouse. Since you already got the interview letter, scan it and email it to your wife. Instead of waiting for the interview letter to arrive at the home address, she can use it to have the medical exam and vaccinations done.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Thank You All! for that bit of information..we call HCM today too...they said they wont be sending out any letter. My wife did received letter from the NVC yesterday, so I believe we can take it directly to Cho Ray! It is weird that there is no instruction regarding medical exam. :)
