You may or may not get automated e-mail response upon NVC receives your e-mail. However It will take about 5-10 business days for NVC to reply you back with acceptance or choice of agent via e-mail.

02/20/2008 : $355 check cashed

02/25/2008 : Case available to view online

I had my wife e-mail her DS-3032, Choice Of Agent on May 4th. On May 12th the NVC auto-phone response said they had received it. I followed up with a live operator the next day to confirm.

Go figure...the snail mail hard copy of the DS-3032 arrived on May 14th in Arequipa, Peru.

I also used the on-line patment for my I-864 on May 5th, and was able to send my package in on May 7th. I called this week to confirm, and it has been entered into the system. I just pray that I don't get an RFE on it. I doubt it.

Just this morning I was able to pay the DS-230 Application Fee on-line and I am waiting for it to process.

So to answer your question use e-mail and online payments...it is much, much faster!!!
