Congratulations and best wishes to both of you! That was a smart idea to have the civil ceremony first, now you don't have to compromise on having the ceremony you want or worry about USCIS while doing it.

Enjoy eachother!

It's funny you all say this cause my husband is from Jamaica and he is always amazed at how reasonable clothes and shoes are here compared to what he used to have to pay in Jamaica.

I agree with Jomo's Girl. Rin has found clothes (quality clothes anyway that don't fade or fall apart after a couple of uses) are cheaper here than in Thailand. Especially if you shop the sale racks! For smaller sizes, Rin (5 ft tall and under 100 lbs) has no problem shopping Old Navy, Hollisters, and American Eagle. She frequently finds name brand clothes that will fit her at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Even in stores without smaller sizes in the women's department, she can usually find clothes that fit her in the "girl's" department. About the only "upscale" purchase she has made since she got here a year ago has been a dress at Bebe's (and even it was on sale!).

THNXXXXXXXX TO all :)

sheriff Uling............... good advise ahahah

Oi sherl... no babies muna :crying:

Julie... ipm q sau .. :) eheh

Im Mrs na nga.. I can't believe .. time is so fast :star:

yah next time.. :) I will find really cheap store.. I just ended in that store bec I dont know the place yet,... and when my mother in law and Ryan accompanied me to find stores that has small sizes. I cant find my style.. :( they also have petite sizes but still a lil bit bigger to me coz I wear Small in Phil, small here are still big for me, and I wear 25 waistline for pants and jeans... Im tired of looking :(

but I saw online the old navy... yah it's cheaper... :) thnxxxxxx for the suggestion..

The prices of clothes in Phil is really so much cheaper .. for $100-200 you will have plenty pairs with style and nice clothes.. Like crissa, preppy, redgirl, etc :) so that's why you girls should bring plenty :) for sure excess baggage of clothes will not cost $200

one thing I would suggest... :) bring plenty clothes as you can ...

I have regrets now why I did not just pay for excess baggage.... :(

We went to mall yesterday to buy some interview clothes for me.. it's really hard to find sizes that will really fits me, coz I'm skinny..

So we ended at LOFT... and it was made in PHilippines.. ahah im proud though coz it's famous here... it's really nice clothes... BUT OMG.. it's so expensive here... the slacks is $129 :( then the coats majority $79 and the inside blouse $36..

In PI, I'm fan of branded clothes too but not as expensive like this,,, :( hayz if I only buy formal clothes in MAnila it will not cost me $200 for 1 pair..

I arrived here May 9, we applied for SSN yesterday.. but my name was not in the system yet, but they encoded my docs already, and they will just mail my ssn card when they will see my name in the system.. everything is so easy here in states..:)

P.S we're married already :) in the courthouse... but this is for legal only, so that I can adjust my status right away, get ssn with my married name, cellphone and other bills in my married name, .. BUT our wedding ceremony, reception etc will be on july 12 pa...

that is what i'm doing now collecting more clothes,my fiance would even tell me no need to because i have sets of clothes there already but still i want to bring some in here, what they did were, they sent some clothes out here to see if it will fit on me,in that way they have an idea already about my size,so right now they keep on collecting clothes for me and will fit them all when i arrive there ..his mom do the collection of my clothes the most..

well just a suggestion here,me and fiance have agreed to ship some of my things there ahead of time so that when the time comes that I 'm leaving it wont be so hard for me to bring big suite cases.
