###### great they post this on cnn and we suffer, and now another 4 months waiting on top

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I hate when some people make it bad for us. sigh

Those 80 people don't make us miserable. That's USCIS's job. There are laws to deal with fraud etc., honestly don't think that I can accuse those 80 for the three months receipt delay and the fact that USCIS is not honoring the date received as promised but rather going by NOA1 date. If it was as simple as finding and punishing those 80, and then we wake up the day after and USCIS has changed into modern, transparent, efficient, lean and mean machine, I would take those 80 bad guys down personally, one at a time.

This sucks more than anything else has ever sucked before.

An October 2007 I-130, I-129F filer.

Should've played the Green Card Lottery instead - it's less random and more reliable.

Why don't they come down heavier on the K1 fiances??

They do TV documentaries on groups of guys paying to go on tours to countries where thet meet hot women for one night .... all women too are organised by the company doing the tour ..... the women all want greencards, and these old and often very ugly guys are there to provide ..... all in return for a bit of sex. They meet the hot chick for a couple of hours .... return to the US and fill out the paperwork for K1 ..... couple of months later the hot chick arrives. She sticks around till she gets her full greencard and then divorces his #######.

The companies which organise these meetings all know the system, and so would know that the one meeting would be enough for the K1 application. If the old guy sends the hot chick some money too, then all the better for showing bona fide relationship.

Of course, the FBI can't do squat as these organisations are out of the US

Surely it would be more prudent to look a little more carefully at the K1 applicants, because a lot of the time it's really beginning to look like some form of loophole to gaining residency.

I must point out that there are a couple of K1's who have been waiting longer than us for approval (only a couple) .... but most go through fast.

You're right. I didn't mean to say that this was wholly responsible for our problems and delays. But I would suppose, based on what I read here, that a significant effort by USCIS to "connect the dots" has been going on recently. Given how thin their resources, it probably didn't help us. We also may have been in for another round of scrutiny based on this; looking for who fits the pattern they observed. Anyway, I hope the USCs who participated in this disgrace enjoyed the $2,500 they "earned." That'll pay for about two days worth of their lawyer's time.

Also, these stories do not help us much when and if we seek help from others.
